Dedicated to the memory of L&T’s founding father and Chairman Emeritus, the Henning Holck-Larsen (HHL) Corporate Museum at Chennai HQ, has been digitally transformed to push the boundaries of what immersive experiences can be. The immersive and interactive business experience is custom-designed for “WOW moments” across 13,000 SFT, amalgamating the best of creative concepts, experience design, interactive digital technologies and immersive content to engage and narrate the history, milestones, awards, engineering expertise, corporate leadership, CSR, company expertise and projects. The HHLC stands testimony of L&T’s digital leadership, engaging visitors in a collaborative and interactive environment.


What did the client want to achieve?

The existing corporate museum had to renovated and redesigned to capture the history, legacy of L&T businesses and also create a state of the art Business Experience center

What key challenges were faced?

  • The project envisaged demolishing existing corporate museum and rebuilding State-of-the-art corporate museum and a business experience centre showcasing about 15 diverse businesses and projects. EDC with its 25 years of track record in building turnkey museums and Experience centers designed and executed from concept to finish, Cutting edge AV, Content management and AV IT technologies were implemented.
  • Completing project in stringent timelines.
  • Collating Artifacts, Integrating all content with integrated Digital storytelling experiences

How were those challenges resolved?

  • State-of-the-art AV, Content management systems, Projection mapping were used to cover compelling Business experiences and Chronicle company s history, legacy and achievements.
  • Multidisciplinary teams, strong Concept to Technical implementation, Stringent Project management

How has your work helped the client?

  • Eighty year old history captured in a 1—6 Video wall with touch overlay, Welcome message on Spherical LED, Interactive projection mapping to showcase landmark projects and achievements.
  • Asymmetric video wall to showcase greatest and landmark projects. Robot for feedback, Live IOT feed of data on temp, Air quality, Power used etc on to a live dashboard.
  • Large format Multi touch table to highlight processes and people and technology.

What are you most proud of in relation to the project?

  • Converting a 3.5 year design pitch and an impossible dream for them into reality.
